About the Journal

Sampratyaya  (ISSN: 3048-5851- online) is primarily a bi-annual (published in June and December every year) double blind peer-reviewed open access multidisciplinary international journal of ASSRA (Ananta-Satyabhama Society for Social Research & Action) in areas of social sciences and humanities including interdisciplinary subjects, community studies and public policy with contemporary national, cross-national and global perspectives on theory and praxis. However, if need arises in rare occasions, special issues will be published in a year subject to approval of the Editorial Board of  the journal and the Governing Body of ASSRA.

Size of the journal: 100+ (< 200) pages or 08-15 articles

Aims: The journal aims to   provide a free multidisciplinary platform (i) to young scholars to publish their research articles by learning how to write a quality scientific article through rigorous process of the journal’s peer review process, and (ii) for publication of articles on contemporary national, cross-national and global issues pertaining to social sciences, humanities, interdisciplinary and policy researches.

Scope: Sampratyaya, the English equivalent being concept, is the condition of mind which underlies the world of happenings in the realm of ideas and ideology, relations, scientific discoveries, technology and their applications. The journal, however, distances itself from pure sciences. Its scope is confined to original articles of theoretical, empirical and applied nature, book reviews, short research communications, debates and individual critical opinion on contemporary issues pertaining to areas mentioned above. Book reviewer interested in publishing the review of a book relevant to the areas covered in the journal may contact Book Review Editor.

 Source of finance: ASSRA’s contribution, membership fees, sale proceeds of the journal, donations and any other source which the financial rule of the Society deems proper.

Future plan:  Indexing, UGC-CARE and SCOPUS listing, publishing print version, and anything to maintain the quality of the journal. Applied for UGC-CARE

Editorial Committee: Editorial Advisory Committee and Editorial Committee are given under Editorial Board section in the website. However, any eligible life member of ASSRA can apply for editorship of the journal on a particular theme. The life member of the journal can also apply for co-editorship. The decision of Governing Body of ASSRA in this matter shall be final.
