Journal Policy

  1. Sampratyaya(ISSN: 3048-5851- online) is a bi-annual (published in June and December every year) double blind peer-reviewed open access multidisciplinary international journal of ASSRA (Ananta-Satyabhama Society for Social Research & Action) primarily in areas of social sciences and humanities including interdisciplinary subjects, community studies and public policy with contemporary national, cross-national and global perspectives on theory and praxis.

This journal is committed to promoting high-quality scholarship, ethical publishing practices, and free access to knowledge. It functions with academic independence and transparency, ensuring fairness in the editorial and review process.

  1. Aims: This journal   aims to
  • Encourage interdisciplinary enquiry and perspectives
  • Provide a platform for both young and established scholars to publish their research articles, review etc.
  • Provide an open access platform, ensuring free availability to readers worldwide
  • Inspire the young scholars to write scientific articles through rigorous process of the journal’s peer review policy
  1. Scope: Sampratyaya, the English equivalent being concept, is the condition of mind which underlies the world of happenings in the realm of ideas and ideology, relations, scientific discoveries, technology and their applications. The journal, however, does not provide a platform for pure sciences. Its scope is confined to original articles of theoretical, empirical and applied nature, book reviews, short research communications, debates and individual critical insights into contemporary issues pertaining to areas mentioned above.

  1. Editorial Principles
  • Full autonomy of the Editorial Boardand Editor-in-Chief   in decision-making
  • All editorial decisions on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Zero toleration to any discrimination on the basis of race, gender, caste, religion, nationality, or political ideology
  1. Editorial Board: Editorial Board has Editorial Advisory Committee at the apex, constituted with international and national academicians and Editorial Committee of international and national academicians to implement journal’s   editorial policy. Editorial Board will be formed as per the guidelines of ASSRA rules and regulations. However, any eligible life member of ASSRA can apply for editorship of the journal on a particular theme. The life member of the journal can also apply for co-editorship. The decision of Governing Body of ASSRA in this matter is final.
  1. Ethics and Integrity

The journal follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Guidelines   on plagiarism, authorship, conflicts of interest and corrections and retractions in cases of error or misconduct to maintain academic integrity.

  1. Peer Review Process
  • The journal follows a double-blind peer reviewby at least two independent reviewers
  • Review is based on scholarly contribution, methodological soundness, originality, and clarity.

  1. Archiving and Indexing
  • The journal follows digital preservation of policy.
  • The journal is included in some national and international indexing and efforts are made to include in other indexing platforms and abstracting.
  1. Transparency and Accountability
  • Editorial decisions preserved.
  • Authors have the right to appeal decisions in line with COPE procedures.
  • The journal publishes annual reports on acceptance rates and trying to publish editorial activities to ensure accountability.
  1. Source of finance: ASSRA’s contribution, membership fees, donations and any other source which the financial rule of the Society deems proper. The journal has decided to charge Rs.2500 for processing and DOI allotment.
